Managing Change
I am a psychodynamic therapist who trained at the University of London.
I have worked in institutions in England, and in private practice in the UK and Paris.
I was born in Britain and have dual British and French nationality. Sessions can be held in either language (or a combination of both) in any country in Europe.
The first session, which normally lasts 30 minutes, is free. The idea here is to see whether we think we can work together. If for some reason we can't, I will try and put you in touch with an individual or organisation who can give you the support you need.
Psychodynamic Therapy
Psychodynamic therapy: what does that mean? It means that I believe we often do things - and repeat negative patterns of behaviour - without knowing why.
And if you're reading this, it implies that you want to find a way to shift your behaviour or the way you feel... but are finding it very hard.
My aim is to help you understand the underlying - or unconscious - reasons for the way you feel. And these are often (but not always!) linked to change or loss.
That might mean someone close to you has died or separated from you.
Or you have moved to a new country.
Or it might mean you have lost your job - to AI, for example.
I see people who are, for instance, feeling scared, depressed or anxious. People who aren't living the lives they want to lead, in other words.
How does the therapy work?
I see most clients remotely - although if you live in the Aix-en-Provence region, we can meet face-to-face.
Sessions last 50 to 60 minutes.
A sessions costs Euro 50.
Sessions are confidential in line with the BACP Code of Practice.
My MSC is in Psychodynamic Counselling from Birkbeck College at the University of London.
